Soda Springs

On our way home we stopped in Soda Springs to check out the geiser. The kids thought it was pretty neat!
The water was luke warm and smelled of sulphur. It goes off every hour on the hour!
So the town is called Soda Springs because there are springs that have carbonated water! I was a little nervous to let the kids dip their cups in and drink but the signs everywhere said it was drinking water. It didn't look super clean. The kids filled their water bottles and added koolaid packets as the instructions stated, and drank it up! They said it was definately carbonated but it had a little bit of a rusty taste if you drank it without the drink mix! It was pretty cool definately worth stopping to check out!
The spring is under this covered building but I know it can't keep the animals out! Hmmm... That's why I couldn't bring myself to try it! No one got sick though so I guess it was drinkable! The kids thought it was Super cool!

Paris Springs Campground

When we go to Bear Lake this is the campground that we really like. It's called Paris Springs Campground. We decided this trip that we have outgrown this tent. We really need to get a camp trailer. It was all we could do to stuff everything into the back of the suburban there was almost not enough room for the kids!
One of our favorite things to make camping is this popcorn.
Love just sitting around the campfire talking and laughing! It might be just me but I think my kids are hilarious!
MMMmmmm... Smores a must have for any camping trip. Can you tell how good it is just by looking at this cute dirty little face!
We usually only go for a couple of nights and by the second night this is how we all feel! WORN OUT! And Dirty!
We walked up to the beginning of the stream it's only about 300 yds not to bad of a hike! It's so pretty. This will probably be our only camping trip this year. It's so hard to get everyones schedules to match to do anything.

Bear Lake 2014

A couple weekends ago we went down to Bear Lake! Love it there! Wish we lived a little closer!
The kids had so much fun playing in the water and the sand!
Brylei made this with shells she found on the beach. It's kind of hard to see it says We Love Bear lake!

These two loved to get wet then roll in the warm sand!
I think we brought home a gallon of sand just in swim suits and towels!

Pool Time

We decided to get the kids a pool a few weeks ago.  It has been so hot here and the kids keep begging me to take them to the lake. It has been the best purchase we have made this year. They have been in it all day everyday! After they do their chores of course!

Baseball Fun

This Summer has been pretty slow compared to our other summers we didn't get to make our usual trip to Missouri. Bryhton went to wrestling camp last week and Brylei was at girls camp so it was pretty quiet around here. Brylei leaves Sunday for volleyball camp and Bryhton has football camp next week. Last night we decided to take advantage of the jefferson county night at our local semi pro baseball field .The tickets were free so we snagged us some.
The kids always love to watch the mascott Charlie the chukar be silly and dance around
Batter Up!They let the kids run the bases when the game is over! Razden was flirting with a couple teenage girls and told one she was pretty. I should have gotten a picture. Then he went and got Bryhton and introduced him to his new friends. It was so funny. I wish I could have videoed the whole conversation! On the way home he told Bryhton if he was nice that he could come on a double date with him. He is such a character!

Random pics from my phone

Earlier this spring the kids and I went to the Youth Outdoor skills Day. Despite how cold it was they had lots of fun! They got to try out the duck blinds!
They got to help go on a bear hunt with the hunting dogs!  Declan and Treagan got to hold onto a couple of the dogs until it was time to release them. They actually treed a bear. Okay it was a stuffed one stuck up in the tree but the kids thought it was pretty cool! These are just a few of the fun things they had for them to do!
We took the kids to the park to see the memorial flags they had put up for the veterans! Each flag had a name attached and where they fought. It was pretty humbling for the kids to see.
On the 4th of July just before the fireworks started,Treagan came to me and said he had swallowed a quarter. We took him to the emergency room where they xrayed him and said it wasn't coming out on it's own.Can you spot the quarter? They had to put him to sleep and remove it. Hopefully he has learned his lesson.

Grandpa Harris took us to the civil defense cave and we waked all the way through it. It took us about 2 hours. It was pretty cool.
During our family reunion we went up to cave falls and went on a hike it was about 3 miles round trip everyone made it. I was so proud of all the kids!
The 4th of July waiting for the Menan parade to start! It was hot but there was minimal complaining!
