Let's Run

We decided to enter a couple of short races this year. Brylei and I did the 5 K Heart and Sole run and Chris Brylei and I did the 5K color run. The younger kids wanted to participate so we signed them up for a little fun run this last Saturday. They all did so good and were so proud of themselves.

Baseball and more...

We got the chance to go see the Chukars with some of our good friends and neighbors! We all had fun. It started to rain near the last part, but we stuck it out to the end!
While we were at Meadow lake we found a mining cave it was pretty neat it actually went back pretty far and had several different tunnels!
We bought a couple of Kayaks for the kids to play around in. Even our two youngest got the hang of it the first time out!

Huckleberry hunting and square Ice cream!

We picked up Chris from the airport in Jackson and stopped on the way home to get square ice cream cones!
The kids were so helpfu picking huckleberries!
Well not so much! Ha Ha!

There is jst something about going into the woods to look for these delicious little purple berries! We went several times until my kids forbid us going anymore! We ended up with about 3 gallons this year! So excited for yummy pies, shakes pancakes syrups and ice cream.

... and more summer pics

The two oldest kids were at Girls camp and Football camp so we decided to go on an overnight fishing trip with Grandpa. He took us up to Gillmore to Meadow Lake. It was so pretty. The kids fished until it was dark then we camped at the little campground and then as soon as the kids woke up they went fishing again! It was a fun little quick trip!

Fun in The Snow

Last Saturday it warmed up a little so we took the kids sledding after all the basketball games!

We got lots of excercise going up the hill over and over. We thought about taking the snowmachine to have an easier way up the hill, but we decided it would be a good way to get the kids worn out! And lets face it after the holidays we are all in need of some serious workout time!
We sledded over and over for about 2 hours. We were all tuckered out. When we got home and Went downstairs to watch a movie. Chris and I both fell asleep and when we woke up, We told everyone it was bedtime it felt like midnight. The kids informed us it wasn't even quite 7. Ha Ha I guess the ones who got the real workout were mom and dad.

My boys had over one of their favorite playmates and they built a snowman. It's the first time this year it has been warm enough for the snow to stick together to make one! They were so excited to use the cute snowman kit our awesome neighbor gave us for Christmas!
I was so excited that it was warm outside today! 36 degrees. It's pretty sad when I think thats warm. Well compared to -18 it feels pretty darn good. Anyway I went running outside for the first time in a long time. Yes I am a wimp and can't stand the cold! I still don't know if I will run any races this year but I definately have started to enjoy it!
