Random

my almost three year old decided  to see what a razor would do to his head!
We had no choice but to finish it off! He looks so different!
I've tried some yummy recipes off of pinterest. The Hawaiian bread is really good!
Another recipe from pinterest, Homemade granola bars. I like to try all different things in them and on them. These have been made at least once a week since I found the recipe! So much better than storebought.
This summer we were able to get alot done in our yard. Here is the fire pit,not done but finally getting closer!
Our grass we planted behind the playhouse game in really good!  We still have lots more work to do. I don't think it will ever end but each year it gets closer to feeling done! The joys of being a homeowner!
Our elf on the shelf Sprocket joined our family this year and we are having so much fun with him! Last night he decided to have a little snack while we were sleeping. Silly Elf!

Kids fall pictures. It's crazy to see the how much they have grown since summer!

First Day of School 2012

It was so nice to have the kids home for a few extra days this summer. They didn't start until the 5th of September. This year we have one in K, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 8th. Its really quiet at home with just me and my 2 year old. he kept saying today," Let's go pickup the kids."
He was so excited to finally be starting school!
I know bad lighting on my part, but here they are all ready to go. I let the kindergartner sleep in because he has afternoon class.

Funny

I came into the kitchen this morning and my two year old had gotten into the brownies. I said to him "why did you get that all over you" he said "I didn't, it got all over me first". Funny how changing the words around made it the brownies fault and not his!

Blessed to SHOUT

I was tackling my endless loads of laundry today and feeling very frustrated that I had to spray SHOUT on almost everything I was washing. (Wondering if I should by stock in the company) I started to realize that if I didn't use SHOUT that would probably mean that I didn't have children. My attitude changed and I was suddenly glad that I go through so much of this Stain Remover because it means, I have been blessed with 6 amazing children that cause me to have to endlessly SHOUT!

Swimming Lessons

We usually take swimming lessons when we are in Missouri for the Summer but we scheduled it wrong this year. I put them in lessons at Rexburg Rapids and was really impressed. We did the 8:00 a.m. and 8:40a.m. lessons. She happened to be the only one in her class so she got private lessons for group price.
He only had 2 other kids in his class with 2 teachers. He had a blast.
These two were in a class together and only had one other kid with 2 teachers. They said the water was really warm.

Winding down Summer

Our oldest started football. I can't believe he is in Junior High this year. I think that makes me feel old.
We took the kids to Lava to float the river we had tons of fun!
The youngest wasn't quite sure about it he kept saying it was fun ,but when we asked him if he wanted to go again he said not now!

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home

Chris surprised her and made it back into town just in time to go to her Daddy Daughter party with her. She was planning on taking her uncle and was super excited when he showed up!
We like to go up to the mountains and hang out on Sunday afternoons. I love how messy the kids get so fast.  His face was dirty so he tried to wipe it off with his hand. Yes thats a handprint. HA HA!
He was so excited about his perfectly roasted marshmallows he made for me!Notice how dirty his hands are.
He wanted to keep roasting marshmallows but he was to full to eat this last one!

Girls Camp

I got the opportunity to be the camp director for our ward!  I was feeling very inadequate for the job but It was a great experience. We are blessed with an amazing Young Womens Presidency that was so helpful. We Had 23 girls and 10 leaders it was such a fun uplifting experience. We went to Paris Idaho. We floated the river at Lava, went through the Minnetonka cave, swam at Bear Lake, did some fun skits, ate lots of yummy food. Our bishopric came up the last night and made us dutch oven pizza and gave us a great devotional. Overall it was an awesome week!

...

My sisters and sisters-in-law. I had so much fun with these ladies. We would all squish into a vehicle and make midnight runs to Walmart, Sonic and a gas station that had Dr Pepper slushies. I wish we lived closer to everyone so we could hang out more often.
We brought my nephew James back with us for the Summer. He was so excited when we got to this sign he made me get a picture! He is such a sweetheart we have really enjoyed having him with us!

June 2012 New Mexico/Missouri

We headed out to Missouri the first week in June. We stopped in New Mexico to drop off Chris at a job and then the kids and I drove the 14 hours to my parents. Thank goodness for Dr.Pepper and sunflower seeds. While we were in New Mexico we went to the Indian Ruins, they were pretty cool.
I love when I can capture sweet moments like this. Gav was afraid Treag was going to fall while he was running down this trail, so he ran up and took his hand.
The kids thought it was so cool that  someone could carve a home into the mountainside.
 Pretty amazing sight to see.
While we were in Missouri Chris was able to join us after the New Mexico job for a few days. We were able to get a picture of all the siblings and their spouses. Here is the crazy group. One of my sister inlaws is expecting so when this baby comes my parents will have 2 dozen grandkids.
My Dad and Mom and  my siblings. We haven't all been together in awhile,so it was fun to be together again for a few days.
