Labor day weekend
We went down to Boise to my Grandma Sherwoods (Fowles) family reunion it was good to get to know some of our distant relatives, we were kept full with lots of good food and everyone was very friendly we visited and had lots of fun! My mom and dad and Hannah were able to come and we got to spend some quality time with them. They took us to the discovery museum it was really cool everything was hands on we all enjoyed it. We stayed at Nikki's house and got to visit with her late into the night we appreciate her letting us stay there we propably should have tipped her for being the maid too! We also got to stop and see Our friends the Prindles and visit for a little bit It's always good to see them! On the way home we stopped in Twin Falls and took the kids to see shoshone falls it is a beautiful place to see! We made it back home and now it's back to real life. We got a call this morning that Chris's Grandma Haws had passed away we will all miss her very much she was an amazing Women and a great example to all of us!

Yummy soft Pretzels Recipe
I found this delicious recipe for soft pretzels they are so good much better than the ones at the mall Try them with salt or sprinkle with cinnamon or sugar or dip them in a yummy cheese sauce so fast and easy!
Soft Pretzels
4 tsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 1/4 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbl oil
about 4 cups flour
1/2 cup baking soda
4 cups hot water
Preheat oven to 400 Dissolve sugar and yeast in 1 1/4 cups warm water let sit till foamy, add sugar ,salt and oil. mix and add flour 1 cup at a time until forms a soft dough and pulls away from sides may need more or less flour.Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. roll out dough into thin ropes and shape like pretzels, set aside dissolve 1/2 cup baking soda in 4 cups Hot water dip each pretzel quickly and shake off then place on greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 min or until lightly browned. Dip in melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar or salt.Very yummy! I doubled this and my children and the 3 I babysit gobbled them up!

the things kids say
The other day Declan and I were cleaning the yard and as he came to throw something away he said (in our family we have 3 boys 1 girl and 1 Bryhton) I started laughing then he said i'm really smart huh mom)!
Weekend at Bear Lake
We went down to bear lake this weekend I love this lake it is sooo beautiful and I vote it #1 kid friendly lake you can walk out forever and it doesn't get past your waist. Even Treagan crawled out quite a ways. Then we went to camp at our usual spot on the lake only to find it had been sold and they are building vacation homes on the lots. We were so upset but then we drove around and found this spot up in the mountains and we loved it. It was about 10 min from Bear lake in Paris Canyon and it was soo pretty a little stream ran right alongside our campsite we put our watermelon in it and it was nice and cool for breakfast. In the morning we went exploring and found the head of the spring, and then we took a little drive and found these ice caves it was cool to see so much snow and ice inside when it was 85 outside. We really enjoyed our weekend and loved seeing the kids having so much fun. It is amazing the beauty that has been created all around us if we take the time to slow down and look around!

We haven't put the rock on the bottom yet we are waiting for the weather to warm up so we don't have to heat the outside!anyway here is our new house!

Brylei's dance
Brylei went to her first dance performance this morning! Funny story when we got her costume from her teacher I was very dissapointed to see that it came just above her chest and there were no sleeves, so wanting her to be modest I stayed up late last night sewing on some wide silky ribbon for sleeves I was so proud of my self because it looked so cute but a little anxious to see what the teacher said this morning. When we got to the school this morning they did a practice and then we all went to the dressing room to help them into there costumes I was getting ready to put Brylei's on her when I looked around and noticed everyone elses costumes, then I started to panick I had been trying it on her upside down and sideways so what I had thought were strings to tie around her waist were actually to go around her neck making it a lot more modest then I had thought. I quickly ran out to Chris and had him use his strength to tear off the sleeves that I had so carefully sewn to the bottom of her costume. And quickly returned it to her without anyone knowing how UNCLEVER I was. Welcome to the world of dance

Snow snow and more snow!
We are definately ready for spring,we have had it with the snow they said it's been the worst winter in years the other day I woke up to it snowing again and I really wanted to cry. Bryhton was trying to walk across the yard to the trampoline which you can see in one picture but is no longer visible in the other. Gavin and Brylei are by the snow that has been plowed off our road what a mess it will be when it starts to get warm and melt! One plus was this beautiful sunset we saw one night!
