Dinosaurs and Spelling Bees

 Grandpa and Grandma Harris took us all to the Dinosaur Museum it was a fun time!

 Brylei got first place in the school Spelling Bee and got to go to the District one and ended up getting 3rd place. We are so proud of our sweet little girl. She is growing up way to fast though!

Gavins 1st Pinewood Derby

 Gavin had his pinewood derby. Chris helped him make this cool truck it didn't do to bad!

Running

So my goal this year was to start running. Why? I'm not real sure I just made it one of my new years resolutions. I got started a little late though and have only been doing it for about 2 weeks. For those of you that know me well. I am not a runner. I excercise often but it's usually just toning stuff like situps and pushups.When I first started I could barely make it a 1/4 mile now I am up to a mile. It sounds really wimpy I know but for me it is a huge victory and eventually I want to run farther. Right now though I am just working on making improvements on how fast I can run a mile with my best time so far being 9 min and 32 seconds. I really don't even know if that is good but Its the best I can do so far. I have not decided if I like to run or not. I know I feel good when I get back to my house and I'm glad I went. So for now I will keep putting on my running shoes and keep pushing myself out the door!

Easter Fun

Chris's sister came up from Boise. We all met at Grandpa and Grandmas. It's always fun when they come up and we all get together and have fun!Grandpa and Grandma with all their Grandkids.

We decorated Easter eggs while they were here. We were smart and did it outside.

What we've been up to

We went bowling one of the few days Chris was in town. The Easter bunny happened to be there so we had to say HI!

Bryhton tried to send himslf down the lane.

Declan was a little dissapointed in his turn.

Gavin was just chillin waiting for his turn while he sipped a soda.

Treagan had to have the orange ball even though it was to big.

Razden was so funny he got a strike his first time and turned around with his thumb in the air and yelled "Oh Yeah Baby"!

Everyone wanted to help Raz.

Chris has been gone since about the end of February. He was able to come home for a couple of days between jobs and so since he was gone on our Anniversary we had my sister watch the kids and escaped to the Black Swan for a night!

We got bored one Saturday and decided to make a batch of coconut flavored lipgloss. It has chocolate in it so my little guy kept wanting to eat it. It does taste yummy if you lick your lips.

My mom used to make these homemade wheat thins and they were always one of our favorite snacks. My kids really like them also, so we make them often! They are super fast and easy. I am not a fan of cold cereal. It's expensive and 10 min later the kids are hungry again. This has become a family favorite. My kids actually request for me to make this hot cereal in the mornings. We just cook it up and add milk and a little brown sugar. They even usually ask for seconds!

We had an easter egg hunt in the snow. I forgot to put my card in my camera and thought I was snapping pics all along, so I only got one of Raz.Brylei started volleybal and is loving it.

Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader

Brylei was chosen as one of the 5th grade academic helpers for the Jefferson county's production of Are You Smarter Than a Jefferson County 5th grader. It was last Friday and she had so much fun. When her group was chosen to help one of the contestants, they got their answer right. I forgot to change settings on my camera so the picture has weird coloring! She was sooo funny when she new the answer she was practically jumping out of her seat trying to get the contestants to pick her for help!

Happy St Patricks day 2012

For dessert we had Chocolate mint cheesecake brownies!

For dinner we made Chicken and spinach pizza. I was worried the kids wouldn't like it but it was a huge hit. My 4 year old especially loved it! We also had green jello parfait, a yummy salad and chocolate mint shakes! We had such a fun day. St Pattys has always been one of my favorite holidays, kinda strange!

My 6 little Leprechauns.Love their cheezy smiles!

We must have had some Leprechauns come visit us last night. When we woke up we found some strange things. Pictures were hung upside down, furniture was tipped on it's side and our milk was turned green. We had green waffles, green milk and green yogurt for breakfast. Then we cleaned up after the Leprechauns and headed to the park to take some fun green pictures!

Declans Owee

We were rushing out the door Sunday to make it to church on,time when I somehow caught Declans finger in the door. We rushed back in the house and cleaned it out and super glued it together. Poor little guy was in pain so I gave him some Tylenol and we headed out the door again. I told him we would come home if it hurt to bad. We made it through all of church. I was feeling so bad about it that I wanted to cry. It is healing so much nicer than I thought it would. He is such a tough little cookie!

Create

When I get tired of my couches and want new ones, I recover the pillows on them instead. This time I went kinda crazy bold. I am loving them, they really brighten up the front room!

I just have to brag for a second. My wonderful husband is so creative, he went through his metal scraps in the garage and made me this table for the entryway.We broke up slate tiles for the shelves. I am so happy with it. I asked him why he decided to make it, he said he just wanted to do something nice for me! I am so blessed with such an amazing person in my life!

Snow Fun,Basketball and Etiquette

Raz and Treagan were mezmerized by the snowfall they sat in the window and watched it for at least 20 min. I think they wanted to go out and play.

Brylei (in the pink shorts)played basketball again this year and really loved it. She finally got the hang of how it's supposed to be played. Last year she struggled but this year she was a real star on her team!

Sorry Chris I think we are going to have to put up a basketball hoop!

Bryhton went to an etiquette dinner at church here he is in a strange pose. He is such a goofball!

They had to dress up nice and Bryhton even did his hair in a frohawk. Now at dinner he tries to teach his siblings great etiquette!

We havent gotten alot of snow this year so when we did the kids were out playing in it! One night Chris and I came home late and there was a snowman in the yard the kids had made in the dark!

Love these guys so much they are so full of energy!

Lots of Fun

We have been busy lately. Brylei has been loving basketball again this year and it's fun to watch her improve each game. Gavin is in cub scouts now and is loving passing off things in his scout book! Treagan and Razden keep me busy all day while the other kids are in school, they are so much fun! Here are a few random photos for some reason they won't upload in the order I want them to so it doesn't make much sense but here they are! They were also taken with my cell phone camera so they are not that great of quality.Chris had a late wrestling match one night so when he got home I surprised him with these yummy treats!

I also made these chocolate covered cinnamon bears they are one of my favorite candies!

I made these chocolate covered strawberries for Chris one night. These were so good I decided to make some for the ladies I go visiting teaching to,but I used white and red chocolate instead!

We have had the spring cleaning bug around here like crazy, even Razden has joined in the fun. We have scrubbed our house from top to bottom,blinds,vents ,walls, doors ,shelves, and repainted all the trim. I love knowing even all the nooks and crannys are clean!

Gavin has gone through his scout book and just keeps asking to pass things off. This is another project he had to do for a merit badge. He made coconut chicken for dinner with seasoned red potatoes I helped a little.

Gavin made this volcano for pack meeting they got to make it erupt when they got there.

Bryhtons cupcakes this year!

Wow I can't believe I have a teenager already it seems like the time has flown by! Bryhton turned 13 . We are so lucky to have him in our family he is such a fun kid to have around always happy and laughing and entertaining us with his vast knowledge of random facts! He is really enjoying school this year, he is on the student council and he was just transferred to advanced math. We love him o much and are so thankful for the great choices he has made in his life so far!

Chris took Bryhton hunting for the first time. They didn't get anything but they had a good time!

We went back to the patch a few days later and picked out our family pumpkins! Which we never got around to carving.

I was able to go On Declans field trip to the pumpkin patch it was a cold windy day but the kids loved it anyway!

Wow I am super behind on my blogging, so here goes starting back in October. Gavin turned 8 and was baptized. He is such a help around the house especially when Chris is working on the road he becomes my right hand man!
